ANSWERS

This is the 1st reponse I received on 5-1-10:

1. What was the message given by John the Baptist?
“Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand…Prepare ye the way of Yahweh, make his paths straight. Every valley shall be filled, and every mountain and hill shall be brought low, and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough ways shall be made smooth. And all flesh shall see the salvation of Yahweh (Mattew 3:1-3, Mark 1:1-3, Luke 3:4-6, John 1:23)”

a. Where was this message prophesied in the Old Testament?
Malachi 3:1 and Isaiah 40:3-5

Who heard his message?
Those who lived in, ” Jerusalem, and all Judaea, and all the region round about Jordan (Matthew 3:5).”

Where did he teach in the temple (church) or in the open air?
He did not teach in the temple (church). He came, “preaching in the wilderness of Judaea (Matthew 3:1).”

2. How was John the Baptist’s message accepted or rejected by the Hebrews?

a. What scriptures explain the acceptance or rejection by the common folk (sheep)?

The common folk (sheep) accepted the message of John the Baptist according to Matthew 3:6, Mark 1:5 and Luke 3:15. “And as the people were in expectation, and all men mused in their hearts of John…and were baptized of him in Jordan, confessing their sins.”

a. What scriptures explain the acceptance or rejection by the leadership?
The leadership rejection the message of John the Baptist according to Matthew 3:7-9, Luke 3:7-9, John 1:19-25. Instead of confessing their sins and being baptized like the common folk, they questioned the relevance of his message since he was not the Messiah. They did not see the need for themselves to be baptized (or for that matter to repent) since they were descendants of Abraham. This is why John refers to them as vipers and warns them of their need to repent.

3. What was the message given by the Messiah?
“The Spirit of Yahweh is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor, he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised. To preach the acceptable year of Yahweh. The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of Yahweh is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel (Matthew 4:17, Mark 1:15 Luke 4:18-19).”

a. Where was this message prophesied in the Old Testament?
Isaiah 61:1-3

a. Who heard his message?
Great multitudes of people who lived, “throughout all Syria…Galilee, and from Decapolis, and from Jerusalem, and from Judaea, and from beyond Jordan. (Matthew 4:24-25, Mark 1:28, Luke 4:14)”

a. Where did he teach most of the time, in the temple or in the open air?
Messiah taught most of the time in the temple (church) according to Matthew 4:23, Mark 1:21, Luke 4:31). He “…went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues…into Capernaum: and taught them on the sabbath days.”

4. How was the Messiah’s message accepted or rejected by the Hebrews?

a. What scriptures explain the acceptance or rejection by the common folk (sheep)?

Just like with the message of John the Baptist, the common folk (sheep) accepted the Messiah’s message according to Matthew 7:28-29, Mark 1:22, Luke 4:32,36. “And it came to pass, when Yahshua had ended these sayings, the people were astonished at his doctrine: For he taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.”

a. What scriptures explain the acceptance or rejection by the leadership?
Just like with the message of John the Baptist, the leadership rejected the Messiah’s message according to Luke 4:28-29. “And all they in the synagogues, when they heard these things, were filled with wrath, And rose up, and thrust him out of the city, and led him unto the brow of the hill whereon their city was built, that they might cast him down headlong.”

5.What was the message given by the disciples (The People of the Way found in Acts 24:5)?
“And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith Yahweh, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams: And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy: And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke: The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and notable day of Yahweh come: And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of Yahweh shall be saved…Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Yahshua Messiah for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost (Acts 2:17-21,38).”

a. Where was this message prophesied in the Old Testament?
Joel 2:28-32

a. Who heard their message?

Those that “were dwelling at Jerusalem Hebrews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven…Parthians, and Medes, and Elamites and the dwellers in Mesopotamia, and in Judaea, and Cappadocia, in Pontus, and Asia, Phrygia, and Pamphylia, in Egypt, and in the parts of Libya about Cyrene, and strangers of Rome, Hebrews and proselytes, Cretes and Arabians (Acts 2:5-11).

a. Where did they teach most of the time, in the temple (church) or outside the church?
The diciples spent most of their time teaching outside of the church according to Acts 8:5,25,26,40; 9:32,35; 13:4; 14:6,7, 18:23, “in many villages of Samaria…unto Lystra and Derbe, cities of Lycaconia.”

6. How was the disciples’ (The Sect of the Nazarenes found in Acts 24:14) message accepted or rejected by the Hebrews?

a. What scriptures explain the acceptance or rejection by the common folk (sheep)?

Once again just like with the message of John the Baptist and Yahshua the Messiah, the common folk (sheep) accepted the message of the disciples according to Acts 2:41-47; 4:4, 5:14. “And the believers were more added to Yahweh, multitudes both of men and women.”

a. What scriptures explain the acceptance or rejection by the leadership?
Once again just like with the message of John the Baptist and Yahshua the Messiah, the leadership rejected the message of the disciples according to Acts 4:1-3; 5:17-18,26-28; 6:8-15; 14:1-2. “Then the high priest rose up; and all they that were with him, (which is of the sect of the Saduccees) and were filled with indignation. And laid their hands on the apostles, and put them into prison…but the unbelieving Hebrews stirred up the Gentiles, and made their minds evil affected against the brethen.”

7. What parallels can we derive from the Hebrews that has gone before us?
We can see from the pattern that is illustrated in the scriptures that the message of repentance is normally accepted by those who are considered common and rejected by the religious leadership. The Hebrews that teach and preach the true gospel message of repantance during the Last Days should expect to see the same response of acceptance from the common folk and rejection by the religious leadership.

8. What is the message that will be given by true Hebrews (The People of the Way or the Sect of the Nazarenes) found in Acts 24:5, 14?
Fear Yahweh, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgement is come: and worship him that made heaven and earth, and the sea and the fountain of waters. Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city becasue she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication…and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit and the cage of every unclean and hateful bird…Come out of her, my people, and be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. For her sins have reached unto heaven, and Yahweh hath remembered her iniquities (Revelation 14:7,8; 18:2-4).”

a. Where was this message prophesied in the Old Testament?
” If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. Flee out of the midst of Babylon, and deliver every man his soul: be not cut off in her iniquity; for this is the time of Yahweh’s vengeance; he will render unto her a recompence. Babylon hath been a golden cup in Yahweh’s hand, that made all the earth drunken: the nations have drunken of her wine; therefore the nations are mad. Babylon is suddenly fallen and destroyed: howl for her; take balm for her pain, if so be she may be healed. We would have healed Babylon, but she is not healed: forsake her, and let us go every one into his own country: for her judgment reacheth unto heaven, and is lifted up even to the skies (2 Chronicles 7:14; Jeremiah 51:6-9).”

a. Who will hear their message?

“They that be wise shall…turn many to righteousness…many shall be purified, and made white (Daniel 12:3,10).”

a. Where will they teach most of the time, in the church or outside the church?
They will teach most of the time outside of the church. “And into whatsoever city or town ye shall enter, inquire who in it is worthy; and there abide til ye go thence. And when ye come into a house, salute it. And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out the that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet (Matthew 10:11-14).”

9. How will The People of the Way’s message be accepted or rejected by the people of today?

a. What scriptures explain the acceptance or rejection by the common folk (sheep)?

The common folk (sheep) will accept the People of the Way’s message. “Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word. And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd (John 17:20; 10:16).”

a. What scriptures explain the acceptance or rejection by the leadership?
The leadership will reject the People of the Way’s message. “But beware of men, for they will deliver you up to the councils, and they will scourge you in their synagogues: And ye shall be brought before governors and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them and the Gentiles (Matthew 10:17-18).”

10. Who was the New Covenant given to and where can it be found in the Bible?
The New Covenant was given to the House of Israel (The Hebrews or The People of the Way) in Jeremiah 31:33,34. “But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith Yahweh, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people…for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.”

Then Paul reminds the Hebrews of this new covenant in Hebrews 10:16,17. “This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith Yahweh, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them. And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.”

11. Is the New Covenant, the New Testament believers?
No. New Testament believers are those who accept the teachings of the Gentile religion which disregard the laws of Yahweh and “think to change times and laws (Daniel 7:25).” These are the ones who are described in Mattew 15:9, Mark 7:7 and Titus 1:14. “But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men….that turn from the truth.”

12. Many people will tell you that they are New Testament believer and they do not need the Old Testament. Is that true?
Yes this is true because as stated in question 11, New Testament believers disregard Yahweh’s laws which are found in the Old Testament. This is the heart of the New Testament (Gentile) religon. So when a New Testament believer says that they don’t need the Old Testament they are indeed telling the truth.

13. Many will say they are not under the curses of the Old Testament like cancer, arthritis, high blood pressure, gout, high cholesterol but they have all the diseases listed in the Old Testament. How can they say they are not under the curses even though these diseases are in their body?
Once again it is because they are under the belief that the Old Testament does not apply to them. If one does not regard the Old Testament teachings as a valid resource for current day living, then one will naturally believe that the diseases they suffer from are not the result of Old Testament curses due to violation of Yahweh’s health laws. These diseases will be seen as mere chances or random events or circumstances happening in one’s life.
